Google Chrome launches Skills feature, allowing AI prompts to be saved as one-click tools for repeated use
ME News Report, April 15 (UTC+8), according to 1M AI News monitoring, Google has launched the Skills feature for the built-in AI assistant Gemini in the Chrome browser. Users can save their frequently used AI prompts as “Skills” and then run them with a single click on any webpage. Specific usage: after writing a useful prompt in a Gemini conversation, it can be directly saved as a Skill from the chat history. When needed next time, type “/” in the input box or click the “+” button to invoke it. The Skill will automatically apply to the current page and other user-selected tabs, and can also be edited or created anew at any time. Google has also launched a Skills preset library, offering ready-made templates covering scenarios such as food ingredient analysis, multi-tab product specification comparison, and key information extraction from long documents. Users can directly add or modify prompts to suit their needs. This feature is currently rolling out on the desktop versions of Chrome for Mac, Windows, and ChromeOS, and only supports English (US). Saved Skills are synchronized via the account and available on all logged-in desktop devices. (Source: BlockBeats)
