When I was a child, I used a pencil to write, and the pencil had an eraser

If I made a mistake, I could just erase it and it was fine
Using up the eraser meant I had made too many mistakes, but I still had a chance to correct them
Growing up, I used a fountain pen, and if I made a mistake, it was a mistake
Either turn the page or start over from the beginning
I always made mistakes again and again, always needing to start over
I hope I no longer make mistakes
