CoinWorld News reports that Wu said he learned that AAVE stated that its entity, AAVE LLC, has filed an emergency motion with Arbitrum DAO seeking to revoke the restriction notice it sent on May 1, 2026. The notice was issued by the plaintiff based on a judgment in relevant cases from the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York (SDNY), attempting to seize approximately $71 million worth of ETH (assets of users affected by the April 18 vulnerability incident). AAVE pointed out that stolen assets do not gain lawful ownership through theft; the above funds have been recovered and used to reimburse affected users, and the freeze would harm the compensation process. It has now requested the court to expedite the hearing and temporarily lift the freeze, while continuing to cooperate with the Arbitrum community and DeFi United to advance user compensation.
