I've been observing the market for a while and I think it's worth talking about which cryptocurrencies have solid fundamentals for the long term. I'm not referring to projects promising quick gains, but those with ecosystems that are truly growing.

Obviously, Bitcoin and Ethereum remain the heavyweights. BTC for its role as a store of value and institutional adoption that keeps increasing, ETH because activity on its network remains massive and developers keep building on it. But if we look beyond these two, interesting things are happening.

Solana has had a tough road, but transaction speed and low costs continue to be a differentiator. LINK remains the backbone of many DeFi protocols that rely on reliable data. And NEAR, well, that ecosystem is showing there's a lot to explore in terms of scalability.

What all these have in common is that they are not speculative bets. They are cryptocurrencies for the long term because they have real use cases, active communities, and developers who keep building. That’s what sets them apart from projects that come and go.

But here’s the important part: investing in cryptocurrencies for the long term doesn’t mean buy and forget. It requires patience, yes, but also risk management and truly understanding what you’re buying. It’s not magic, it’s work.

I’d like to know what you all see. Among these options, which do you think has the most potential over the next 3 to 5 years? Is there any you wouldn’t consider or would give more weight to? The conversation is always more interesting when there are different perspectives.

Of course, none of this is financial advice. Everyone should do their own research and make decisions based on their situation.
