Ethereum completes Glamsterdam upgrade

Ethereum completed its Glamsterdam upgrade on May 1, and the change reduced Layer 2 data settlement costs by 70%. A higher gas limit expanded block space, which lets Ethereum process more transactions faster and at lower cost. Ethereum said the change lowers the cost of smart contract interactions such as DEX transactions and large-scale NFT minting. Ethereum also said the upgrade is meant to help the network recapture market share from high-performance competing chains.
