Lawyer for North Korea Terror Victims Targets Arbitrum’s 30,765 ETH Freeze

An attorney for victims with about $877 million in unpaid judgments against North Korea told Arbitrum delegates that 30,765 ETH frozen after the rsETH exploit cannot be moved into a recovery effort. Charles Gerstein filed a restraining notice under New York law that argues the frozen ETH is North Korean property because U.S. authorities have linked the Lazarus Group to the exploit. Delegates are now weighing that claim against objections that the ETH is stolen property that should go back to the original rsETH depositors.
