If you are using Pi Network, sooner or later you will have to face the KYC verification process. I have gone through this process and want to share a detailed Pi KYC guide to help you avoid mistakes.

First, you need to meet some basic requirements. Be at least 18 years old, have government-issued identification (passport, driver's license, or ID card), and have mined Pi for at least 30 days. Importantly, your face must be clear and match the ID, as the system will require a liveness check.

The actual process is quite simple. Open the Pi Network app, go to the Mainnet section, complete the listed tasks until the KYC tab is unlocked. Then select your country, the type of ID (passport is recommended), take clear photos of the front and back if needed, fill out the form completely, and finally perform the face verification step. The entire process takes about 5-10 minutes.

The Pi KYC guide also requires you to know that after submitting, you may wait from a few days to several months. The system uses verified KYC users to review your application. You will be charged 1 Pi for this process, which goes to the verifiers.

An important note: although Pi KYC is open to everyone, the requirements and usability may vary depending on your country. To check the status, go to your profile in the Pi Network app. If you see a green checkmark next to identity verification, you have passed. If you still see a loading icon, your application is still pending.

Many people encounter issues with uploading documents or machine detection, so make sure the photos are clear, information matches the ID, and your face is easily recognizable. These are the key points to ensure your KYC verification process goes smoothly.
