Mobile cryptocurrency mining is a controversial topic, but if you've decided to try it, you need to choose the right app. I tested several mining tools and here’s what I’ve learned.
The most popular apps for mining on a smartphone are CryptoTab, StormGain, NiceHash, and Bitdeer. CryptoTab was one of the first; I installed it and it started working immediately, plus you can invite friends and earn bonuses. StormGain is the most user-friendly in terms of interface, but it requires a restart every 4 hours, which is annoying. NiceHash is praised for its security and profitability calculator, suitable for both beginners and experienced users. Bitdeer is more for professionals — it offers serious plans and real cloud mining.
As for the process itself: on Android, it’s easiest — choose an app, install it, create an account, enter your wallet address, and start mining. On iPhone, it’s more complicated due to Apple restrictions; mainly, cloud mining through the same apps is used. You have to pay for renting hash power there, but the results are more realistic.
Regarding cryptocurrencies — the easiest to mine are Monero, Dogecoin, Vertcoin, and Ravencoin. But honestly, all of this is still slow on a phone. Mining one Bitcoin with a smartphone is a fantasy; specialized equipment or cloud services are needed. The current BTC price is around $80,000, and mining it on a mobile device is not economically feasible.
The main thing — don’t expect miracles. Mobile mining software can generate a small income if you have many devices or use cloud solutions. But if you’re counting on serious earnings from your smartphone — forget it. Consider electricity costs, battery wear, and market competition. It’s better to figure out if it’s even worth it before you start.
