The New York Stock Exchange plans to trade tokenized securities within the existing market system

ME News report: On May 3 (UTC+8), documents from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission show that the New York Stock Exchange has filed a rule change to allow the trading of tokenized securities within the existing market framework. The proposal is based on DTC’s three-year pilot, supporting clearing and settlement in the form of blockchain. Tokenized securities must have the same codes and shareholder rights as traditional securities and be traded on the same order book, subject to the same matching and regulatory rules; settlement will still be T+1. The rules have taken effect, but regulators may suspend them and conduct further review within 60 days. (Source: MLion)
