Bitwise to Close and Liquidate BTOP and BWEB Crypto ETFs
Crypto asset management firm Bitwise has announced the closure and liquidation of its two crypto ETFs: Bitwise Trendwise BTC/ETH and Treasuries Rotation Strategy ETF (BTOP) and Bitwise Web3 ETF (BWEB). The specific reasons for the closure have not been disclosed. Bitwise reminds investors that any holdings of shares in the funds that are not actively sold by May 21, 2026, will be automatically redeemed in cash at the net asset value (NAV) of each ETF. The related funds are expected to be distributed around May 29, 2026, through brokers or other financial intermediaries.
