ME News Report, April 9 (UTC+8), according to an analysis released recently by a16z, the adoption rate of artificial intelligence in enterprises is accelerating at an unprecedented pace. Data shows that 29% of Fortune 500 companies have become paying customers of a leading AI startup and have actually deployed the product, and this proportion among the top 2000 companies worldwide has also reached about 19%. The article suggests that this level of penetration was achieved in a short period, disrupting the usual norm where startups typically take years to secure large enterprise clients. This phenomenon is attributed to the rapid recognition of AI’s potential since the release of ChatGPT in November 2022, which has sparked unprecedented interest and prompted larger companies to try new products earlier than before. The article points out that an effective way to assess the current state of AI adoption is to overlay the revenue momentum of various application scenarios with the models’ theoretical capabilities (evaluated through OpenAI’s GDPval benchmark). Currently, enterprise AI adoption is mainly concentrated in several key areas. (Source: InFoQ)
