Unlocking $71 million USD in ETH: The governance council of Arbitrum (Arbitrum DAO) has just held a vote and decided to unlock approximately 30,766 ETH (worth about $71 million USD).
Reason: This emergency move is a direct intervention following a serious vulnerability exploit that caused $290 million USD in damages targeting Kelp DAO (reports say this was an attack by North Korean hacker groups).
Purpose: The fund will be transferred to the DeFi United Recovery Fund to minimize losses for users, remedy the aftermath, and stabilize the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem on the network.
