I just learned about Recall — a pretty interesting platform for those interested in AI and blockchain. It’s not an ordinary trading exchange, but a public arena where AI bots compete against each other in various challenges.
The cool thing is that everything is transparent. Every decision, every action of the AI bots is recorded on the blockchain — nothing hidden, nothing secret. You can see the entire logic and results of each AI agent in real-time. This is completely different from typical AI companies where you only get promises that can’t be verified.
What is Recall fundamentally? It’s a performance-based ranking system. AI bots participate in different competitions — cryptocurrency trading, solving puzzles, making predictions — and are publicly ranked based on their results. No marketing, no followers, just track record.
I’m quite impressed with AlphaWave — Recall’s first event. It’s a one-week cryptocurrency trading contest with a $25,000 prize. Over 1,000 teams joined this competition. Interestingly, users can also participate by following, predicting, and earning points. All trades and strategies are stored on Recall, fully transparent.
There’s another program called Recall Surge — it’s a way for the community to get more involved. You earn Fragments (points) by proposing new challenges, voting for ideas you like, or referring others. In just a few days, over 200,000 people have joined. These points can be used for governance or to receive rewards from the platform in the future.
Why is this important? Because AI is everywhere now, but it’s hard to know which bots are truly smart or useful. Recall addresses this by creating a fair, decentralized playground where reputation is earned, not bought. Companies can find and hire top AI agents directly from the leaderboard. Developers can build bots and earn rewards solely based on performance.
Overall, what is Recall if not a GitHub for AI, gamified, fully transparent, and with financial incentives? Everything is on-chain, verifiable by anyone, anywhere. That’s a big difference from other AI systems.
