Recently, I truly experienced that "paper losses are noisier than paper gains," clearly just on paper not selling, but my mind automatically starts a meeting: should I cut, will it go to zero, did I see it wrong... Conversely, paper gains are very Zen, even if it rises I fear a pullback, so I don't dare add to my position, and I sleep well. Basically, losing a little feels like being deducted points, while earning a little I don't dare to take seriously.
These days, I keep seeing a bunch of memes and celebrities calling out signals, as soon as the hype shifts, people start taking the last shot. The more excited newcomers are, the more uneasy I feel. If I really want to play, I can, but I would first check the oracle feeding the price source, update frequency—so that later, it’s not a contract bug, but a price feed glitch that directly clears you out. That kind of loss feels more "real." My current approach is to keep my position smaller; being able to sleep is more important than earning that extra bit.
