According to reports from Iran’s Fars News Agency, Iran has executed two spies working for Israel’s intelligence and special operations agency, the Mossad. The report says that, after they were tried by Iran’s judicial system and the verdict was approved by Iran’s Supreme Court, Yakub Kalimpur and Nasser Bekerzadeh were sentenced to be hanged for providing intelligence and carrying out espionage activities for the Israeli government and intelligence agencies. The report says that Kalimpur cooperated with the Mossad to pass sensitive information related to national security to relevant intelligence personnel, while Bekerzadeh had carried out abnormal activities in several sensitive areas and, at the direction of the Mossad, collected information about government, religious, and local figures, as well as details of important facilities, including the Natanz region.
