$PI CoinWorld News reports that Pi Network has confirmed it will sponsor the 2026 Consensus Conference in Miami from May 5 to 7. Co-founder Dr. Fan Chengdiao and Nicolas Kokkalis will attend as speakers, marking an important debut of the project in the mainstream industry. The event is expected to attract over 20k attendees, including institutional investors, developers, and government representatives. The Pi core team stated on April 28 that more than 1 million users have completed 526 million KYC verification tasks. Dr. Fan's speech will explore the intersection of verified identities and the AI era, while Kokkalis will participate in discussions on how to distinguish real users from AI-generated accounts. The conference coincides with the launch of Pi's Protocol 23 smart contract on May 11, which is expected to lay the foundation for Pi's transition from a mobile mining network to a programmable blockchain.
