Nigeria becomes Africa's largest Solana developer hub

ME News Report, May 2 (UTC+8), Nigeria ranked sixth globally in the first quarter of 2026 based on Solana developer share and became Africa’s largest Solana developer hub. The report indicates that Nigerian developers account for approximately 67% of active Solana developers in Africa, bringing over $162k in direct funding to the local economy through ecosystem bounties and Solana Foundation grants. SuperteamNG-supported Evolution has processed a total value of over $4 million, while NectarFi’s test phase has exceeded $6 million in transaction volume. In the first quarter, 15 Nigerian products partnered with SuperteamNG to integrate Solana features. (Source: MLion)
