A forecast of Bitcoin's market capitalization until 2030 has been made. Growth of more than ten times will be driven by the accelerated spread of BTC among major business representatives and the evolution of cryptocurrencies into a class of assets present in investment portfolios worldwide, according to analysts.
ARK Invest specialists compared Bitcoin's market capitalization with the gold market, which is estimated at approximately $12 trillion. According to analysts, properties such as limited supply and transparency make the first cryptocurrency an alternative to traditional savings means. If Bitcoin can capture about 40% of the gold market, this could add around $10 trillion to its market cap and potentially push the price above $730,000, investment experts suggested.
Overall, the cryptocurrency market, according to ARK Invest, is capable of growing from the current $2.7 trillion to $28 trillion, with the first cryptocurrency maintaining a dominant share. At the same time, analysts consider ongoing risks important, including potential legislative restrictions, technological vulnerabilities of the industry, and competition from other assets.
All these factors could hinder the growth of the crypto market's capitalization. However, the development of blockchain technologies and infrastructure will enable rapid overcoming of existing limitations, ARK Invest analysts assured.
Earlier, Benjamin Cowen, founder of Into the Cryptoverse, stated that despite the growth of major altcoins' prices, during later stages of the market cycle, liquidity is always absorbed by Bitcoin.
