So I just read this interesting thing about which cryptocurrencies Elon Musk actually owns, and I have to say it's pretty fascinating. Basically, the guy has Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Dogecoin in his portfolio; he's not hiding it much. With Bitcoin, we're in 2021 when Tesla invested 1.5 billion dollars, and even though they sold a good part of it later, Musk confirmed that he personally still owns some. Bitcoin is basically digital gold to him, the main store of value.

For Ethereum, it's similar; he revealed it during a conference in 2021, and it makes sense considering everything that can be done with smart contracts. But the real story is Dogecoin, which has become basically his favorite crypto. Musk calls it "the people's cryptocurrency" and has even promoted it for payments at Tesla and SpaceX. The fact that it started as a meme doesn't bother him at all, in fact. Now DOGE is at $0.11 and has a market cap of $16.58 billion.

Here it gets strange because there are rumors about other coins like Shiba Inu and Floki Inu, but Musk has always denied owning SHIB. However, his tweets on dog-themed topics have still moved the markets, which is crazy. Floki Inu is named after his Shiba Inu dog, but there's no proof he actually owns it. The power Elon Musk has in the crypto market is almost surreal.
