Just found out some animals are literally richer than most of us lol. Like Gunther VI, a German Shepherd that inherited $500 million? That's insane. And it gets better—there's a whole trust managing his real estate portfolio and everything.
Then you've got these internet famous ones. Grumpy Cat made nearly $100 million just from being grumpy on the internet, which honestly feels like the ultimate rich animal energy. Taylor Swift's cat Olivia Benson is sitting on like £77 million from music videos and commercials. That's a whole career.
But here's what really got me—there are cats and dogs that just straight up inherited millions because their owners had no one else to leave it to. Tommaso got $13 million from some Italian widow, Blackie got $12.5 million from a British guy. Even a Chihuahua named Conchita scored a Miami mansion worth $8.3 million plus $3 million cash.
Karl Lagerfeld's cat Choupette was making €3 million a year back in 2014 through modeling deals. A cat. Modeling. And somehow that still makes sense in the fashion world.
The wild part is how these rich animal stories always have this whole legal drama attached. Like Trouble the Maltese was supposed to get $12 million but courts cut it down to $2 million. Still rich, but imagine the drama.
Makes you wonder what these pets actually do with all that money though. Probably just sleep and eat premium food while their trusts handle the boring stuff.
