Tether slowed down USDT reserve gold purchases in the first quarter, increasing holdings by approximately 6 tons in a single quarter

ME News message, May 2 (UTC+8). As of the end of March, the gold value in USDT reserves reached $19.8 billion, corresponding to an estimated market weight of about 132 metric tons. This is higher than the 126 tons at the end of December last year, but gold accounts for only 10% of total reserves. The main portion of the USDT reserves is $117 billion in U.S. Treasury bonds, and Bitcoin’s share within it is $7 billion. Currently, the circulating supply of USDT is $189.5 billion.
