According to CryptoSlate, a batch of long-dormant Ethereum wallets was recently emptied in bulk, with the related funds flowing into an address marked as (Fake_Phishing2831105) by Etherscan. CryptoSlate states that over 500 wallets are suspected to be affected, with total losses of approximately $800k, including more than 260 ETH worth about $600k that has already been transferred, and many wallets have been inactive for 4 to 8 years. The related addresses show 596 transactions and transferred 324.741 ETH to THORChain Router v4.1.1 around April 30. The attack vector has not yet been confirmed and may involve old private keys, mnemonic phrases, historical wallet tools, or key management risks.
