The Bank of England considers delaying the launch of the digital pound

Golden Finance reports that on May 2nd, three years ago, the UK Treasury and the Bank of England stated that it was highly likely necessary to launch a digital pound, but now the situation has changed dramatically.
Currently, the digital currency of the Bank of England, called “Pound Coin,” has an uncertain future. According to informed sources, the market originally expected the UK to finalize approval or completely shelve the project this summer, but currently, officials are considering a compromise: slowing down the development and progress of the central bank digital currency.
