The Grinex cryptocurrency exchange promised payouts to clients affected by the hack.
First, affected clients will be able to withdraw ruble stablecoins A7A5, the platform promised.
Currently, assets withdrawn from the platform remain in the hackers' wallet and are inaccessible for recovery, according to Grinex representatives. They said that international AML services have marked the funds in the attacker's wallet as "stolen assets." Russian police have opened a case based on Grinex's report.
In a statement, the exchange described the attack as "lasting, complex, with a high level of technical implementation."
Thanks to the attack, unknown hackers withdrew stablecoins USDT from Grinex, stealing about $14 million from 54 addresses (48 on the Tron network, five on Ethereum) and transferring them to two Tron wallets.
