ME News message: On April 8 (UTC+8), U.S. Secretary of Defense Hagseth said that the United States has achieved a decisive military victory in Iran, and Iran had pleaded for this ceasefire agreement. Late Tuesday night, the U.S. carried out 800 airstrikes, destroying Iran’s defense industrial base. Iran can no longer manufacture missiles, rockets, or drones. The ceasefire means Iran will never have nuclear weapons. The U.S. military objectives in Iran have been accomplished; the ceasefire is only a temporary pause, and the coalition remains ready to resume combat at any time. We hope Iran will choose lasting peace. All parties have reached a consensus, and the Strait of Hormuz is now open. Iran will allow ships to pass, and warships “will transit” the Strait of Hormuz. It will take some time for the ceasefire agreement to take effect. (Source: ChainCatcher)
