Delphi Digital analysts conducted a study of all five-year holding periods of Bitcoin, starting from May 2016.
The worst results were recorded among investors who bought the asset at the peak in December 2017: when selling near the lows of 2022, they lost 13%.
Nevertheless, the median return of Bitcoin over a five-year period was over 800%, and for Ethereum — 1200%.
With long-term holding, crypto assets showed high profitability almost regardless of the entry point.
Price sensitivity only manifests over short time frames.
