Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Expecting a quick resolution from Iran-U.S. negotiations is unrealistic
ME News, May 1 (UTC+8): Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Bagheri said it is unrealistic to expect Iran and the United States to reach results quickly through negotiations. Bagheri said that, over the 47 years since the victory of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, Iran has built up deep distrust and suspicion toward the actions of the U.S. He emphasized that it should not be expected that negotiations will achieve results in a short period—“after all, this is an extremely bloody war.” He noted that the United States and Israel are “extremely brutal,” and that the conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon over the past two and a half years have proven this. Bagheri said, “In this situation, regardless of who the mediator is, expecting an agreement in a short time is unrealistic.” (CCTV) (Source: BlockBeats)
