ME News report: On April 14 (UTC+8), according to monitoring by 1M AI News, AI programming tool Cursor released version 3.1, focusing on improvements to the Agents Window interface. Main new features: 1. Split-screen layout (Tiled Layout): Split the view into multiple panels to run and manage multiple Agents simultaneously. Supports drag-and-drop arrangement and shortcut-key navigation, and saves the layout across sessions. 2. Upgraded voice input: Switch to full-recording batch transcription (batch STT) for higher accuracy. Long-press Ctrl+M to enter audio. The recording interface adds a waveform, a timer, and confirm/cancel buttons. 3. Branch selection in the blank state: Before launching a cloud Agent, you can first search for and select the target branch to avoid mistakenly running on the wrong branch. 4. Diff jump to source file: Jump directly from the diff view to the corresponding line in the file. After entering the full editor, you can manually modify it or use Tab to complete. 5. File search filters: The “Search in Files” now adds include/exclude filter conditions. In terms of performance, the frame-drop rate when editing large files decreased by about 87%. Follow-up questions in long conversations, which previously would lag for over one second, now have instant responses, and scrolling lag in long conversations has also been fixed.
