So I was looking into cheap warm places to visit in february in usa and found some solid options that won't completely drain your wallet. Turns out if you skip the theme park hotels, you can do Florida pretty affordably - Kissimmee area hotels run like $131 a night and flights into Orlando are around $267. There's Fun Spot America if you want rides without paying Disney prices, or just chill by the pool for way less.
If you don't mind it being a bit chilly, Chicago is surprisingly doable in February. Yeah it's cold (like 36F) but they've got free stuff everywhere - the Cultural Center, Garfield Park Conservatory, this massive library with nine floors. Hotels average $149 and flights are $220. Honestly beats sitting at home.
For something warmer without leaving the US, San Francisco's actually decent - flights around $268 round trip and temps in the 50s-60s range. Hotels there are pricier at $189 average but still manageable. Plus they had that Fat Tuesday celebration in the Fillmore District.
Denver's another option if you're into skiing - flights $242, hotels $153. Winter Park Resort is supposed to be one of the cheaper ski spots nearby. Or just stay downtown and hit the museums, ice skating spots, check out the Mint.
Basically if you're looking for cheap warm places to visit in february in usa or even just affordable winter escapes, these destinations actually work. Better than hibernating for two more months.
