Recently, I’ve seen the funding rates spike to ridiculous levels again.

My options are basically two: either take the opposite side with a very small position + a fixed stop-loss, or just hide and not fight the volatility.
To put it simply, when the rates are extreme, market sentiment is already twisted, and trying to “judge the direction” can easily turn into helping others lift your position or catching a flying knife.
I usually first look at the open interest and liquidation density on-chain; the side with higher density, don’t fight there.
The more profitable opportunities are “waiting for others to make mistakes,” not because I’m particularly smart.

By the way, the main public chains are not planning to upgrade/maintain, and there’s chatter in the group about whether the ecosystem will migrate.
I’m actually more cautious: these node restarts tend to cause issues, and don’t trust that orders and stop-losses will be “executed as usual.”
Anyway, I’d rather earn less during extreme rates.
If I really want to take the opposite side, I’ll treat it as practice…
Forget it, I won’t talk about this now. I’ll go add a reminder to the risk control script.
