Ethereum Application Guild EAG is established to promote application layer ecology and the construction of a global developer network
Deep Tide TechFlow News: On April 30, the Ethereum Applications Guild (EAG) announced its official establishment. As a global non-profit collaborative organization, it aims to support the development of the Ethereum application ecosystem and to help it expand from the infrastructure phase to the application layer. It will operate around four major directions: promoting the deployment of real-world applications, connecting cross-disciplinary ecosystem networks, establishing a unified evaluation and development framework, and building sustainable funding mechanisms. It is reported that the EAG will adopt a member contribution system based on the scale of institutions (such as valuation, market cap, or AUM), and will channel part of ETH staking rewards into an ecosystem growth fund through a staking yield donation mechanism.
The EAG also released its 2026 Global Application and Developer Plan, which will expand developer education, hackathons, and research projects, and strengthen the development of local developer communities through regional roadshows and ecosystem showcases.
