#FoxPartnersWithKalshi #FoxPartnersWithKalshi: Prediction Markets Enter Mainstream News
New York – Fox Corporation has signed a sponsored integration deal with Kalshi, the world’s largest prediction market, to bring real-time "crowd odds" across its media platforms. The announcement, made on April 7, 2026, has sparked widespread discussion under the hashtag
What is the deal?
Under the agreement, Kalshi’s forecast data—reflecting the probability of outcomes in politics, economics, weather, and culture—will be integrated into FOX News Channel, FOX Business Network, FOX Weather, and the FOX One streaming platform. Kalshi will work directly with FOX’s data and production teams to provide real-time access for on-screen graphics and analysis tied to major storylines .
This is not an exclusive arrangement. CNN and CNBC struck similar partnerships with Kalshi in December 2025, making prediction market data a growing trend across cable news .
Wisdom of the crowds or gambling?
Kalshi frames its platform as a tool for unbiased, crowdsourced forecasting. According to the company, roughly 70% of its monthly visitors come to check market odds, not to trade—underscoring demand for probability-based data as a supplement to polls and expert opinion .
"Institutions like the Federal Reserve have adopted Kalshi data, calling it valuable to researchers and policymakers," the company noted in its announcement .
However, critics remain uneasy. Prediction markets allow users to wager real money on everything from election outcomes to space missions. Kalshi has drawn recent scrutiny after fining and suspending three congressional candidates for betting on their own elections—so-called "insider trading" on political races .
What won't be shown?
A Kalshi spokesperson confirmed that FOX will not air prediction markets on war, terrorism, death, or assassination, citing concerns over creating "perverse incentives." Additionally, FOX News will not use Kalshi data for its political coverage, relying instead on its own election and polling division .
The bigger picture
For FOX, the partnership represents an effort to deepen audience engagement through data-driven storytelling. For Kalshi, it provides exposure to nearly 200 million monthly viewers across FOX's networks .
As Paul Cheesbrough, CEO of Tubi Media Group, stated: "Prediction markets have quickly become an essential data point and a compelling new experience across our live content portfolio" .
