Just saw that SLB landed a massive $1.5 billion contract with Kuwait Oil Company for the Mutriba field - that's a serious five-year deal. Pretty wild that they're handling the whole thing now, from design through production management. The dollar to Kuwait keeps flowing for these mega projects.
What caught my attention is they're going deep into high-pressure, high-temperature reservoirs with sour conditions. That's complex stuff. Sounds like Kuwait Oil really trusts SLB at this point since they've been working together for decades. The fact that SLB is taking on end-to-end responsibility shows how much the partnership has evolved.
Seems like the Mutriba field development is moving into a new phase and SLB is basically the backbone of it now. Not bad for a tech company in the oil space.
