Three sayings about marriage:

1. Husband and wife are like shoes

Husband and wife are like shoes. You need to walk together—there is no natural “perfect fit,” only hearts that make room for each other and give in to one another.
The best marriage: when things get hard, no complaining; when upset, no getting angry; when angry, no turning your face; after a fight, no holding a grudge. Forgive the small things, and discuss the big ones.

2. Husband and wife are like doors

Husband and wife are like two doors—together they protect and guard the family/home. It requires both people to work together.
If one person spends recklessly or behaves badly, no matter how hard the other tries, it will still be impossible to live well. Only when husband and wife share the same heart can the home be peaceful and everything flourish.

3. Companions in old age

Young husband and wife become companions in old age. From the time you’re young to the time you’re old, you stay together and fall in love.
Parents and children can’t accompany you your whole life; the “old partner” is the companionship that never wavers and never lets go—your most precious wealth.
Marriage is not easy. Treasure the person in front of you. Supporting each other into old age is fate and blessing.
