My current attitude toward L2 and the mainnet is just two words: compromise. The mainnet is like the place for “final accounting.” When gas gets expensive, I’m more likely to fumble. L2 feels much smoother, but to be blunt, what you’re buying is a period of “trust + exit channels.” Ordinary people don’t really need to stress about picking sides—just go by probability: for small amounts and high frequency (claiming airdrops, doing tasks, frequently switching positions), I basically give up on L2 to save gas and hassle; for large amounts and low frequency (long-term holding, migrating important assets), I still prefer to go back to the mainnet, with less fuss.

Recently, everyone’s been talking about modularization and DA layers—developers are getting fired up, and it’s normal for users to look confused… My own judgment is pretty straightforward: don’t cross a few extra bridges just for a “more advanced narrative.” The more bridges you take, the higher the chance of something going wrong. Anyway, my strategy right now is to reduce actions first; if it can be handled in one go, don’t split it into three.
