These days, the blockchain is congested again, watching the mempool and seeing your transaction queued, really gives you the illusion of "once you click confirm, it's done." Others think: just add more gas, and you'll be able to get in immediately; in reality: there are a bunch of transactions at the same or even higher prices stuck in front, and your transaction is like taking a number and waiting to be called, during which it can be replaced by others, you can accelerate it yourself, or it can even expire directly.

When I experience congestion now, I tend to first think: is this transaction urgent or not? If not, just cancel and resend, don't stubbornly wait. Especially for testnet incentives that reward points, when mempool gets congested, I start guessing whether the mainnet will issue tokens... To put it simply, when your transaction gets stuck, all your "planned operations" can turn into random events, so you really need to keep a calm mindset.
