Over the past couple of days, I’ve seen a whole bunch of Meme posts and celebrities shilling trading calls again—every comment is like, “Is there still time to get in now?” That veteran’s line, “Don’t catch the last baton,” really isn’t just them trying to act cool. Once attention rotates, that little “small target” in your wallet might end up as a meme.

I split it up pretty bluntly: if your assets are still at the “meme-fishing profit-taking tourism group” stage, a hardware wallet is enough—finish the task and move on, keep your mindset light. But once you’re at the point where, before you go to sleep, you start thinking, “What if I lose my mnemonic phrase?”, multi-signature is more solid (though don’t underestimate the operational hassle). Social recovery fits people who are afraid of being careless and misplacing things, but you have to pick trustworthy “teammates”—otherwise, you’re just outsourcing the risk. In any case, don’t treat security like some kind of mysticism just to save a bit of Gas. I’ve already overdone it and gotten myself rolling into this a few times.
