CryptoWorld News reports that, according to Bloomberg, a senior White House official revealed that the U.S. government is seeking to "confiscate" two oil tankers associated with Iran that the U.S. Navy intercepted recently. The official stated that the U.S. Department of Justice has initiated a "confiscation" process but did not specify the details, nor did they indicate whether this move suggests the U.S. plans to "confiscate" the crude oil loaded on the tankers. Citing "operational security," the official refused to disclose how these ships will ultimately be handled and did not comment on their current navigation routes. The U.S. Department of Defense reported that the U.S. Navy intercepted and boarded these two "Iranian oil transport" tankers in the Indian Ocean on the 20th and 22nd, respectively. In the following days, both tankers continued sailing in the Indian Ocean and appeared to change course multiple times.
