Recently, parallel processing and sharding have become lively again. They look pretty in PPTs, but honestly, I only focus on two things: where are the assets actually stored, and can they be withdrawn? No matter how fast the chain is or how innovative the narrative, if you sign an unlimited authorization or throw your money into a bunch of proxy contracts, in the end, you're stuck at the bridge or in upgrades, with logic being changed, and there's nowhere to cry. The attention shifts driven by memes and celebrity endorsements are even more outrageous. Veteran players advising newcomers not to take the last step isn't about showing off their superiority; it's because you rushed in without even thinking about an "exit strategy," and you're basically waiting to be harvested. I see complexity as an enemy: if you can avoid cross-chain, don't cross; if you can give fewer permissions, do so—let's start with that.
