BNP Paribas: Although U.S. economic growth is relatively strong, the dollar will still weaken

Golden Finance reports that on April 29, Sam Linton-Brown, Head of Global Macro Strategy at BNP Paribas, stated that although the U.S. economy is growing more strongly compared to other regions in the world, the bank still expects the dollar to weaken. He pointed out that the trend of structural diversified capital outflows from the dollar may still occur. “This trend has been quite evident since 2025, mainly led by European investors, and we believe this trend could expand in 2026.” BNP Paribas forecasts that this year, the euro against the dollar will rise above 1.20.
