Just caught up on the Elon Musk stocks to buy conversation after his pay package win, and there's more going on here than people realize.
So the shareholder vote went through - we're talking $56 billion here, which bumped his Tesla stake from around 13% to 20.5%. Not quite his 25% target, but the key thing is this reduces the "what if Elon gets bored" risk that's always hung over Tesla. That's huge for the company's stability.
Obviously Tesla (TSLA) is the main play. Musk's already talking about an ultra-cheap Model Y around $20k that could move serious volume. Yeah, he walked that back a bit saying it's not feasible today, but the fact he's focused back on Tesla innovation matters. Even if the stock didn't moon as hard as some expected - partly because his new wealth actually dilutes existing shareholders - this is still the clearest beneficiary. Some analysts are pricing Tesla way higher, though those valuations might be optimistic.
But here's where it gets interesting for elon musk stocks to buy beyond just Tesla. Nvidia (NVDA) is worth watching. Before the pay package vote, some investors literally sued claiming Musk was diverting Tesla resources to his AI plays at xAI and X. That's the thing - he's been funneling talent and GPUs away from Tesla. Now with this vote, he might actually redirect that focus back to Tesla's AI infrastructure. And Musk is already a massive Nvidia customer - he's committed roughly $3-4 billion to Nvidia chips for Tesla this year. If his AI efforts intensify at Tesla specifically, Nvidia could see even more orders. That's a solid secondary angle.
Then there's Tripadvisor (TRIP), which sounds random but actually matters. Tripadvisor moved to reincorporate from Delaware to Nevada back in February, and they basically set the legal precedent that Musk is now following with Tesla. Delaware judges initially fought it hard - one even called the whole thing unfathomable - but ultimately the move went through. So Tripadvisor already proved you can escape Delaware's court system and win. Musk is using that same playbook, which means the precedent holds.
The elon musk stocks to buy angle isn't just about Tesla anymore. You've got Nvidia capturing the AI infrastructure boom, and Tripadvisor as the legal precedent setter. If you're looking at how Musk's shareholder victory plays out across markets, these three tell the story.
