Last night, the blockchain was a bit congested, and my transaction was like waiting in line at the mempool: first being placed in the "waiting area," sitting on the sidelines if the gas price isn't high enough, occasionally being cut in line by others (reposting with higher fees), and all you see is: why is there still no movement... then either it gets included in a block and settles, or it takes too long and expires / I cancel it myself. To put it simply, during congestion, what you buy isn't speed, but certainty and peace of mind.

By the way, I want to complain about the tagging system of many on-chain data tools now. When there's congestion, it looks quite "clear," but in reality, it's actually lagging behind, or even misleading... You might think a whale is moving, but it's actually others breaking up orders and queueing to play you. Anyway, what I don't regret is: if it's really urgent, just honestly increase the price; if not, close the page and go to a meeting, don't stare at that pending status and drive yourself crazy.
