On February 3, 2017, Kamila Grabska was rear ended in a car crash, She was 36 with two kids, and later took RSA Insurance to the High Court claiming the crash left her with constant pain in her back, neck, and upper spine
She said it wrecked her daily life, couldnโ€™t lift grocery bags, struggled with housework, couldnโ€™t play with her kids, sometimes bedridden, and unable to work for about five years
She claimed around โ‚ฌ760,000 in compensation, mostly for lost earnings
But less than a year later, in January 2018, she entered a Christmas tree throwing charity event and won the womenโ€™s competition ๐Ÿ’€
Photos did the damage for her, one showed her mid throw with full force, another smiling with a winnerโ€™s certificate
Then came more evidence, a video of her playing with a large dog for over an hour
In court, she admitted she competed and won, but said she was still in pain and just trying to live normally
The judge didnโ€™t buy it, calling the injuries exaggerated and pointing to clear physical ability in the evidence
In February 2024, the case was thrown out completely, She got nothing, and the insurer moved to recover legal costs
