Hackers Strike Again! 2,900 ETH Transferred to Mixer, Kyber Attack Funds Continue to Launder

On-chain monitoring shows that the hacker address that previously attacked Kyber Network has recently transferred another 2,900 Ethereum, worth about $6.8 million, and moved the funds into the privacy mixer Tornado Cash for laundering.
Looking back at the incident, KyberSwap experienced a serious reentrancy attack on November 23, 2023, where the hacker exploited a contract vulnerability to repeatedly call functions, ultimately causing the platform to lose approximately $47 million.
The recent influx of funds into the mixer indicates that the hacker is still transferring and hiding the flow of funds in batches, which is a common money laundering path for on-chain attack funds.
From a security perspective, although the DeFi world is full of innovation, every detail of smart contracts can become an attack entry point. A single code vulnerability often means a risk of tens of millions of dollars.
In the crypto market, technology determines the ceiling, while security determines life or death.
Projects that truly endure over the long term are never built on short-term hype, but on continuous security development and risk management.
The same applies to investments:
