Stop-loss is really like a breakup: dragging it out without deleting or blocking, staring at the other person’s Moments (K-line) every day—the more you look, the more you get hooked, and in the end, it’s still you who hurts. Plainly speaking, if you should take the loss, take it; get it settled on the ground sooner, and you’ll save yourself a whole lot of “emotional interest.” Otherwise, every bearish candle feels like another stab. Lately, I’ve been seeing people get criticized for stacking returns from re-pledging and shared security as “copy-paste nesting,” and I kind of resonate too: layering on layering really does sound great—until everything collapses. Then it’s even worse because you can’t hit the stop-loss button. Anyway, I’d rather make a little less now than keep myself hanging on a high swing, swaying until my hand goes numb… Rhyme: Don’t cling to the old, don’t stubbornly endure—save a few bullets, then reopen and start again.
