ME News Report, April 14 (UTC+8), local time Monday, San Francisco District Attorney’s Office announced that Daniel Moreno-Gama, the suspect who attacked OpenAI founder Sam Altman last week, has been charged with attempted murder. The Department of Justice’s release also shows that the suspect faces federal charges, including attempting to use explosives to damage property and illegally possessing unregistered firearms. According to the indictment filed Monday in the San Francisco Federal Court, Daniel Moreno-Gama was arrested after the attack on Friday, and San Francisco police officers found a document on him that detailed his intentions. In the document, Daniel Moreno-Gama expressed the intent to kill Altman and warned that humanity would be “extinct soon” due to artificial intelligence. (Source: ODAILY)
