Today I wanted to check some on-chain data, but the page "froze for a moment," and my first reaction was that my internet was acting up again... Later I thought it was probably the indexer/Subgraph not catching up yet, since data needs to be fetched, organized, and fed to the frontend, not just instantly jump to the latest with a refresh. Plus, RPC rate limiting is quite common; when there's a lot of people, it’s like waiting in line for a number, and a slow response is normal.

Why is it that I clearly clicked, but the data hasn't changed yet?
Because on-chain data is real-time, and the indexers and interfaces are "trying to be real-time," but there's always some delay in between.

Recently, the NFT royalty debate has been heated, with creators wanting stable income, and trading platforms worried about liquidity being slowed down... Basically, everyone wants "immediate, accurate, and cheap," but the system and interests aren't that smooth. Anyway, I just take a laid-back approach—if it works, it works; if it freezes, just wait. Don't stay up late refreshing and stressing yourself out.
