Modal $3100 So $22.8 Million, ICO ETH Investor Active Again After 10 Years Dormant
An Ethereum investor from the Initial Coin Offering (ICO) era was observed performing a large transfer activity after their wallet had been inactive for 10 years. The wallet address 0xCD59f3DDE77E09940BEfB6Ee58031965CaE7a336 transferred all of its assets totaling 10,000 ETH, now worth over $22.88 million or approximately IDR 359.2 billion, to a new wallet on Wednesday (29/4).
Based on on-chain data, this investor is one of the early participants in the Ethereum network who only invested $3,100 during the ICO a decade ago. With the current ETH price, this movement recorded an incredible profit of up to 7,381 times the initial capital. The identity of the asset owner is not yet known, but this activity immediately drew attention because it involved old tokens that had not been touched since the Ethereum network was established.
Although there are no indications that the assets were sent to an exchange, the emergence of a whale from the ICO era is often considered a strategic profit-taking signal amid current price fluctuations.
