Claude integrates with 8 major creative software connectors, including Adobe and Blender

According to an April 28 announcement from Anthropic’s official blog, Claude launched its Claude for Creative Work program, teaming up with 8 creative software partners to release connectors, with the goal of enabling Claude to collaborate directly within existing tools used by creative professionals. At the same time, Anthropic Labs unveiled a new product called Claude Design, and Anthropic also joined the Blender Development Fund as a patron.

8 major creative software connectors: from 3D modeling to real-time VJ control

The software list for connectors launched in collaboration with Anthropic (ordered according to Anthropic’s official announcement):

Software Connector Function Ableton Live and Push official documentation integration; Claude’s answers are based on official materials Adobe for creativity covering 50+ Creative Cloud tools (Photoshop, Premiere, Express, etc.), enabling calls to process images, video, and design Affinity by Canva for automated batch production (image batch adjustment, layer naming, file export), and the ability to generate custom functions within the app Autodesk Fusion for creating and modifying 3D models through conversation (requires a Fusion subscription) Blender Python API natural-language interface that can analyze complex scenes, batch modify objects, and invoke documents Resolume Arena / Wire VJ and real-time control by natural language for arena, Avenue, Wire SketchUp using dialogue descriptions of spaces or objects as the starting point for 3D modeling, then further refining in SketchUp Splice music producers can search a royalty-free sample database within Claude

In the announcement, Anthropic summarizes the value of these connectors into five categories of use cases: learning and mastering creative tools (interactive tutorials), expanding tools with code (custom shaders, procedural animation, parametric models), connecting across tools (format conversion, cross-app asset synchronization), quick exploration and delivery, and handling repetitive production tasks (batch processing, procedural modifications).

Claude Design: Anthropic Labs’ new product, initially exports to Canva

Anthropic Labs also simultaneously announced a new product called Claude Design, positioned as a tool for “exploring software experience concepts.” Key features:

Claude visually presents multiple design options and iterates repeatedly based on user feedback

Built-in export mechanism sends results into other tools for further refinement. Initial release supports exporting to Canva.

The Anthropic announcement does not mention whether Claude Design is paired with any specific Claude model version, pricing plan, or available regions; for now, it is positioned as a stage-based product from Anthropic Labs.

Blender integration and education collaboration: Anthropic joins the Blender fund, launches courses with RISD, Ringling, and Goldsmiths

Blender is a free, open-source 3D creation suite used across independent games, animation, architectural visualization, and film production. The MCP connector built by Blender’s development team is now officially open to Claude, so 3D artists can use it to analyze entire scenes and write scripts for batch modifications.

Anthropic also joined the Blender Development Fund as a patron to support the continued development of the Blender Python API. Because the connectors are built on the MCP open standard, other LLMs can use them as well—this also reflects Blender’s commitment to open source and interoperability.

For the education collaboration, Anthropic is launching its first batch of three creative computing courses: Art and Computation from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), Fundamentals of AI for Creatives from Ringling College of Art and Design, and the MA/MFA Computational Arts program from Goldsmiths, University of London. Students and faculty can use Claude and the new connectors, and provide feedback as input for Anthropic’s subsequent design work. Anthropic says it will expand the collaborating institutions going forward.
