Recently, I've seen a bunch of memes and celebrities shouting orders and flooding the screens.

When attention shifts, newcomers are most likely to get excited and start “cross-chain chasing hot spots”…
Old players' advice not to take the last step is really not just for show.

Back to IBC/message passing/bridges—frankly, when you click to cross-chain, you're not just trusting the “bridge” words:
One end is whether the source chain will rollback/reorganize itself, and the other end is how the destination chain verifies messages;
In the middle, there's also the relayer (the person helping you move data) who might go offline, and whether the light client/verification logic has bugs;
Many bridges also require multi-signature/multisig custody or an external set of validators, which is another “trust circle.”
The more “fast and smooth” it seems, the more you should think about who is actually endorsing it behind the scenes.

I'm quite simple myself: before cross-chain, I first open the path and authorization points to take a look.
If I don't understand, I try to transfer less or test it…
First revoke an unnecessary authorization.
